Paper work for buses

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Does anyone out there get paperwork from mechanics in reference to the zonar?  If you write your bus up do you get a paper stating that it is ok to drive?  When the work is completed do you get a paper saying the work was completed?

No Donna,in Nashua we do not

No Donna,in Nashua we do not get any paper work at all.The only way we know is by dispatch telling us our bus is ready and we do a pre trip to check the safety of the bus and to make sure the bus was worked on and the problem corrected.

The same goes for us here in

The same goes for us here in Cologne, NJ. I'm sure there is a record of it but we don't get a copy.

There is actually a way to

There is actually a way to pull it up on the hand held unit,,,,they dont give that info to the drivers though, but they should ! If we are ever pulled over by the police we need to know how to pull up the pre trip and the repair history.

Any defect that you have

Any defect that you have written up and supposedly has been repaired, you are suppose to get a hard copy of the report to keep on your bus.  Someone needs to sign off on this report.  Also you should know how to pull up the previous report.  If you use another bus that someone else used previously you should pull up their "pre-trip" not their post trip to find any defects they have reported.  Look for the Y-N near the pre trip.  If there is a Y or N then there is defects reported and possibly put the bus down.
