(Maryland Heights, MO)—School bus drivers in Washington, Mo. voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 610 on Wednesday. The 95 drivers and monitors are seeking fair wages, a voice on the job and an end to favoritism.

(TACOMA, WA) — Charter bus drivers with First Student, Inc. in Tacoma, Wash. voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 313 in Tacoma on Friday. The workers are seeking affordable and decent health insurance, fair pay and an end to favoritism on the job. There are 63 workers in the bargaining unit. Read more.

Marcus Oladell, a member of Local 671 in Bloomfield, CT and driver at First Student addressed the 28th International Convention in Las Vegas where he told nearly 6,000 Teamsters about the first national contract ratified by First Student Teamsters. Read more.

Nine out of 10 bus drivers for First Student who are also members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters ratified a four-year, nationwide labor agreement this month that is being lauded as an industry first. Read more.

(WASHINGTON) – Teamsters overwhelmingly approved the first-ever national agreement with the largest private provider of school bus transportation in North America, First Student Inc. This historic agreement improves working conditions and job protections for more than 20,000 Teamsters who work at First Student. The contract was ratified by 91 percent. Read more.
