Question: How many people who work for First Student out there think that maybe First should get one piece of Technology down pat first before they install new things?
Zonar: First Student should figure out exactly how it should be used and transfer all of that information to drivers as well as mechanics across the country before they install more things like kill switches etc. Drivers and mechanics beware make sure that you educate yourself on procedures.
Zonar is becoming the new
Zonar is becoming the new big brother on buses. They claim they can use it to track route, idle time, punch in and out time, speed, stop duration, probably even find out how many times I "rock and roll" at intersections. What zonar can't seem to be able to do is locate a big yellow bus in the lot. On numerous occasions I have been assigned a bus route and need to call in to dispatch to find out where the bus is parked on the lot. There have been too many occasions to count where the dispatcher claims it is in a certain part of the lot only to find out it is miles away on a field trip....AFTER HE CHECKED ZONAR. So next time they try to tell you zonar says this or zonar says that ask for the print out.
