Time line:

April 08 voted union in

Dec 08 first vote

Jan 09 second vote

Jan 09 CVOR formed to fight contract/union

April 09 contract ratified

April 09 CVOR files to deauthorize security clause

June 09 deauthorization fails

The fight to deauthorize the security clause in our contract has been lost. We are now at peace and full fleged members. The peace part may be a stretch. A lot of wound licking for sure. On the other side.

The whole purpose was for the location to vote to not pay any dues there by forcing the union to drop us and go back to the old way. The proponents of the movement would have us believe that the company would honor the contract when the union was no longer with us. If that were the case why are they still screwing with us.

Our increase by contract is Sept 1st and April 1st. The vote to ratify was April 2nd. They didn't start that untill April 26th. It took four more weeks for the retro. Or should I say part of the retro. Early reports show that they are still messing with our money. Not to worry. We are patient. We will get it straight one way or another.

Congrats on sticking

Congrats on sticking together and staying the course.

You have won victories on several different levels.

As a volunteer organizer I am very impressed with you and your co-workers.

You say that you are patient and that is a good thing. Just remember to never ever give up. Continue to do whatever you can on a daily basis to move your issues forward. (i.e. retro pay).

Continue to take the "High Road" with the other side they will come around eventually.

In Solidarity, Paul
