(Farmingdale, NY) – On April 21, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), after an investigation, issued a consolidated amended complaint against Baumann Bus, a Long Island transportation company that employs nearly 1,800 members of Teamsters Local 1205.

After our wonderful victory in favor of Teamster representation, we’ve gotten to work negotiating a contract with Baumann management. We’ve had several negotiation sessions, where we have laid out our priorities to make this a better place to work. Here is an update from our Teamsters Local 1205 and here are some of our priorities. We will keep everyone updated on our progress!

We're thrilled to announce that all our hard work and unity paid off! On Friday, November 20, we voted 906-644 to join Teamsters Local 1205!

As a result of a major election victory today, more than 1,700 school bus workers employed at the Baumann transportation companies on Long Island will become members of Teamsters Local 1205, headquartered in Farmingdale, New York. The workers voted 906-644 in an election conducted by the National Labor Relations Board.
